The Risk Of Heart Disease And Stroke In Women

Women need to know that they are at risk for having a stroke too. Women have dangers of having heart disease that can lead to a stroke and leave them disabled. According to some research that has been done, thirteen percent of women in America think that heart disease and stroke are the biggest threat to women. This will show that the lack of understanding is in the majority of women today. They have to know and realize that stroke is possible for them if they do not take care of their body.

Women need to know that the risk of heart disease and stroke will increase with their age. There were over 45 million women in America over 50 that had a stroke in the year 2003. More women than men die of stroke every year. The low blood levels of good cholesterol appear to be a bigger reason for heart disease in women than in men over 65.

Having regular physical activity for women can help to reduce the risk of a stroke in women. They need to get out there and find a good diet and exercise plan that will keep them active and moving around so that their body is staying fit and healthy. This will help them to be fit inside too and keep the risk of stroke down. It is important for women to think about their health at an early age so that they can go on and live a happy and fulfilling life without the risk of stroke on their back.

Women need to take the time to talk to their doctor and find out all that they can about the risks of stroke and where they are in that category. It is important to get the facts and have the understanding so that they are not blind to the idea of having a stroke. They need to find a good routine for them and find out facts that will help them with questions and problems that they may have in the future if they do not change now.

Having the right knowledge about a stroke will help women lead normal and healthy lives so that they are not putting themselves and their families at risk for a stroke. Check your family history and find out if this is something that is known in your heredity. If so, you may need to take the extra precautions now so that you are not faced with a stroke later on. You also want to keep your daughters safe from having to worry about taking a stroke later too. It is important to worry about these things and make the necessary changes before it is too late.
