What is a hemorrhagic stroke

When dealing with a stroke there are many possibilities. There are different types of stroke that can occur and there will be different out comes as well. It will all depend on the person and what their body has gone through during the stroke. A subarachnoid hemorrhage will happen when a blood vessel on the brain's surface ruptures and bleeds into the space between the brain and the skull.

A cerebral hemorrhage will happen when a defective artery in the brain ruptures and floods the surrounding tissues with blood. A hemorrhage or bleeding from an artery in the brain can be the result of a head injury or a burst aneurysm. Aneurysms are the blood filled places that will balloon out from the weaker spots in the artery wall. They are likely cause or made worse by having high blood pressure. Aneurysms are not always dangerous to the body but if one does erupt in the brain, it can cause a hemorrhagic stroke.

When a cerebral or subarachnoid hemorrhage happens, the loss of blood means that some brain cells will no longer work. Having a large loss of blood from the burst artery will also put pressure on the surrounding brain tissue and interfere with how the brain is going to work. There may be severe or mild symptoms that lead from this problem and it will depend on the amount of pressure.

The amount of bleeding will be determined on the degree of severity of cerebral bleeding. People with cerebral hemorrhages will end up dying because of the increased pressure on their brains. Thos who live tend to recover more than people have had a stroke due to a clot. This is due to the fact that the blood vessels are block and then part of the brain will die. The brain does not regenerate. When a blood vessel in the brain bursts, pressure from the blood will compress in part of the brain and if the person lives, the pressure will go away slowly. The brain may get back some of the former functions that it once had but it may take a long process to get there.

A stroke will depend on the severity and how much damage was done to the brain. It is hard to determine what will happen until after it is all done with. It is important to have will and the want to go on and make it past the difficult times. There will be many feeling go in and out from the victim and the people around them. However it is important to stay positive and think past the fear and work hard to get back to doing all the things that were done before the stroke happened.
